The Devil is in the Details: Nuances of Light Mapping

Light mapping is a conceptually simple yet powerful technology that makes it possible to use the most advanced light simulation algorithms available without sacrificing high framerate in a game. In this presentation we will cover modern light mapping techniques and some of the less explored but yet important sides of it.
Its intended audience is lighting programmers and technical artists. The presentation aims to help you get the details right when using a lighting pipeline based on precomputed lighting, and make sure you get the best visual quality together with a high and predictable framerate.
